Using Halo

Halo is a browser extension that saves, copies and converts what you choose on web pages. You may use it free for 50 uses, after which a licence unlocks it.

Your licence

Payment and refunds

Polar is the merchant of record for purchases on withhalo.app and its terms apply to the payment. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of buying, for any reason: write to hello@withhalo.app or use Polar’s customer portal. A refunded key stops working. AppSumo purchases are refunded through AppSumo, within its window.

Credit packs: unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of buying them; credits that were spent can’t. Credits never expire, belong to the licence they were bought for, and have no cash value. A cloud job that fails gives its credit back.

What you save

You’re responsible for having the right to save and use what you save with Halo. Respect the rights of whoever made it and the terms of the sites you use. Halo doesn’t download YouTube videos and doesn’t get around copy protection (DRM), and you may not use it to.

No warranty

Halo is provided as it is. Websites change, and an option that works today may not work tomorrow on a given site; we’ll fix what we can. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for your licence.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above says when. We won’t take away what a licence you’ve bought includes.
